Woman's Creepy Boyfriend Demands She Get Rid Of Her Cat

What would you do if you were going to move in with your partner but they told you that they refused to live with you if you brought your pet of eight years with you to your new home? This happened to the woman in question, who had been dating a guy with a cat allergy for many years. She discussed all the solutions with her boyfriend, only for him to reject them all, one by one. Here at I Can Has Cheezburger, we've seen our fair share of pets bringing couples, and families, together. From a heroic pet dog saving a baby's life, to a cat who saved a freezing baby, there is no shortage of stories about cats and dogs behaving wonderfully and protecting their families. Unfortunately, there are also many stories about lovers, or family members, neglecting or avoiding their pets. From a woman who stole her ex-boyfriend's dog right after they broke up to the husband who pressured his wife to adopt a third animal into the house. 

Unfortunately today's story is not a positive one, it's a story about a very shady boyfriend who decided to drive his relationship apart by not accommodating his long-term girlfriend's decisions about their pet.     Wow, being asked to give up your pet cat since childhood? We're happy that OP is going with her gut and refusing to give up her beloved pet just because of some pressure from her boyfriend and soon-to-be roommate. We wonder why it has come to such an ultimatum like this, hopefully this woman will explain it for us.

    First of all, most people would say that it isn't ok to move in together if your boyfriend has an allergy that is serious enough. Perhaps the OP should keep this in mind before moving in with her boyfriend. But also, we'll need to hear all of the details before making a decision.     Font - deltatango22 -4 days ago I disagree, as someone who grew up with dogs and rarely ever around cats I was allergic to them. Like to where I could not function for the rest of the day. My wife is terrified of dogs and loves cats so we got a cat and my allergies have adjusted so long as I don't touch my face after playing with him.
